Are your banks seeing a huge turn-over?
Seems like it here.
I went into a bank I have a line of credit with to make a payment.
The teller said to me....."We can't take payments on a line of credit."
Then after seeing my shocked face told me she needed to get her supervisor.
The supervisor said....."Yes we can." Then turned and asked: "It's not on automatic payment is it?"
Holy Moly!!!!!
We used to see new tellers every week at our local Wells Fargo, so we assumed this was a training facility. Nope, they were all fired for not meeting their "sales" quotas of new accounts. Week after week. Utterly deplorable on multiple levels.
I'm not sure what to do. There are now 16 banks in our little town and I've always banked at two of them, both of which have been really good. Lately it seems like turn over has degraded service at both of them. Changing over to a new one will really be a pain, accountants, IRS payments, auto deposits, on and on. It would take hours and hours of work.
The last time that I was physically at a bank was over two years ago. I have had direct deposit paychecks for years so there is no need for me to visit the bank. I pay all of my bills electronically and keep only a small stash of cash for emergencies, I use my debit card for everything else.
