Typically when we are out driving the Mobile LiDAR unit folks always ask all kinds of questions. No one knows what LiDAR is and the word "mapping" still glazes over most. However, nearly every drive through worker, or the person next to you at the fuel pump will ask, "Are ya'll Google?"
Today I was out driving in St. Louis and low and behold guess who pulled up behind me.....Google. Oh we all lost it! I flagged him over for a quick chat and asked for a photo opportunity. Turns out he was just as interested in us and understood what all the components were. I still can't believe that this actually worked out! Amazing! I'll be looking for the images of us in street view in the coming weeks.
The best part, he Googled us! Right there on site!

He was actually driving with one hand running the laptop with the other. They have a pretty basic set-up on their cars, but it was obvious he spends a lot of time behind that wheel.
