My dream job.?ÿ
Make it so.
Are you looking for someone who is registered?
If a person is an RPLS and interested in working towards becoming an LSLS, understanding that we will want you to do "boots on the ground" learning, as well as continue in an RPLS capacity, we would be willing to visit with them.?ÿ But being an RPLS is not required.?ÿ We are just looking to find a person who likes surveying and wants to work with us.
I seriously would love to jump on this, I just cant make the move. Too much for my young family. But I would be all over this if I could - such a great opportunity!
BTW, Monte, we need some of those cool field pics, it's been awhile since you posted some. And, it may help draw in some interest.?ÿ

Good to hear from you Monte.
I couldn't help but notice you did not mention horseback skills would be a plus.
Good luck finding a candidate with a good fit.
Licensed Land Surveyor
Finger Lakes Region, Upstate New York
I see this as an awesome opportunity.
30yrs too late for me to make this jump.
I am also looking for a person with a dream, ambition and desire to lead and survey into the future.
good luck Monte
I didn't mention horseback skills, as I am already looking for a winged unicorn with golden hooves, so how much pickier can I get.?ÿ We would love to find someone we can either train up to become an experienced boundary surveyor, or to help an RPLS to become an LSLS where they can learn by being around an active LSLS.?ÿ I feel it is an opportunity for the right people, but I also know that not everyone enjoys this kind of work.?ÿ And, pictures, lets see.?ÿ
?ÿ?ÿ This is the remains of the firing range at Camp Barkely, just outside Abilene.?ÿ During WW2, it was one of the Army's largest training bases.?ÿ For those of you not familiar, soldiers stood by the concrete, and raised and lowered frames on the mechanical arms, the frames held targets.?ÿ Shooters on the firing line shot at the targets.?ÿ Then the guys on the concrete would lower the frame, mark the hits, and raise the targets back up so the shooter could see their hits.?ÿ Yes, they shot over their heads!?ÿ We just completed a survey of a 1000 acre ranch that covers a small part of what was this camp, this was one of the finds out in the woods.
