A change of scenery today. Headed out into the Marlborough Sounds by water taxi.
Bay of Many Coves, Queen Charlotte Sound.
Site investigation for new holiday home, walking track access, geotech site stability, foundation assessment, on site waste water treatment assessment, and extend previous survey and locate test positions and features.
Working on a steep site in regenerating native bush up to ten metres in height.

Sandflies?

No sandflies. Was on the west coast recently and they were annoying. I spotted a seal, cannet, shags, little's blue penguins, terns, gulls. We were visited on site by a weka, wood pigeon, tui.
Very quiet place, no one around, few boats and work barges.
Was a cruise ship at port, Picton and the water taxi guys were a little busy.
