A few miles away from me is this 3/4 inch iron rod by fence corner was one of my first static control points I made in 2004 when there was a simple xtie fence corner.
The addition of the 12ft sign that bows almost over the rod makes for a very difficult setup with a 16+ft antenna height.
After he put this up, I have always had extra 1ft and 4ft sections to add to my setup to reach some desirable height to get a decent signal.
