A lot of rain with a few bits of nicer weather here and there. ?ÿTopo of a 4 mile corridor in virgin forest for once of those Road to Now Where projects. Actually to a future deep water port for oil response operation. In case there's another one of those Exxon Valdez fiascos.

Sounds like you dodged the big storm that just clobbered Cordova.?ÿ Sustained 90 mph winds, quite a bit of damage from what I hear.?ÿ

I was on a job today were we had to walk through the woods about half an hour to get to the car.?ÿ My wife was joking about having another formerly wealthy local client, now not so wealthy, pick?ÿ us up in his helicopter.?ÿ I was thinking Daryl took a helicopter to most of his jobs in Alaska, but has not posted anything on Beer Leg in a while.?ÿ Check in this afternoon, and there you are. Really.

Thanks for the clip.?ÿ

Ken

You know what they call hurricanes in Cordova? ... Weather. ?ÿSome local told me that.?ÿ

We couldnƒ??t work that day, plus I didnƒ??t want to work that day. Building we are staying in just shudders like imminent state of collapse. I went down to the Marina to see the wind, ?ÿrain, spray, mist, and white caps ?ÿand that derelict was straining against her anchor chain. I didnƒ??t realize it had broken free until I saw it the next day on the other side of the bay grounded.?ÿ

Awesome post.

I wonder if FBI and CIA guys sitting at their desks get the same feeling of

"WOW my job would be so much cooler if I did things like that."

whenever they watch a James Bond film!
