THATS FUNNY!!
That could be Oregon vs. S. Fla, if you had lightening bolts hitting the ground in the second panel.
:rain: 🙂
That is funny. When I first moved to New England after 3 years of surveying in Arizona, the first time it began to rain, I told the crew to box it up. They looked at me strange and I learned rather quickly that if we didn't work in the rain, we were out of a job.
Keep yer mitts off da tripod legs.
Once upon a time I was caught a half mile from the truck when a rainstorm hit. Even with the gun tucked under my shirt, it got too wet on the long walk back. $850 in repairs exceeded the $600 survey. That was about 20 years ago.
Hey now, we look forward to the 3 rain days a year we get here.
Pack it in, and enjoy the rain. We don't get that much of it, its like a holiday when it happens.
lol! Good one Wendell.
Good one Wendell.
One of the first things I learned about surveying (in MI) is that the first raindrop to hit you is your bosses fault. The rest of them are your own fault.
Back in the early days I had a PC who kept a dinner tray in the truck. If it started to rain, he'd set it on the ground upside down. We could pick up only after that plate was completely covered with drops. We tricked him one time when the other helper whizzed on it so we could all get out of the stupid rain.
I like the way it depicts the crew with hands up, running and screaming like little girls.
Before electronics, only lightning would halt work. That can get intense around here.
Remember one chief that had a three drops on a brick rule.
If it is damp out, today's crew is hard to drag into work.
