Aloha, Bill: Looks like you did your homework!o_O
Yswami. Good to hear from you. I have had monks on my mind lately, reading Karamasov Brothers.

Nice pic, thanks for posting.
I fell in love with Kauai the first time I saw it in 1995 and again in 2000 the next time I am there I plan on staying! Hawaii,(Kona), is nice too as is Maui (Hana) and forget about Oahu (Too crowded).
But out of all the Islands, Kauai is the most beautiful in my opinion. Pleasant thoughts to you and your Brethren. 🙂

Aloha, Bill: I hope you will visit Kauai again!
I dunno, that seems awfully impractical to me. I can't imagine how I would explain to my client that I had to flood his entire house site under tens of feet of water just to survey it with my autonomous boat.
But it WOULD save a lot of walking...

Brad ÛÒ interesting post. I just finished reading ÛÏFarther than any manÛ. ItÛªs a great read about Captain James CookÛªs sojourn in search of lands in the Pacific to claim for England. He finally ended up in Kauai where he was killed by the indigenous peoples because of his unbelievably deplorable treatment towards them after they befriended them.
Anytime I see or hear Kauai I am reminded of Yswami, and the beautiful Napali coast.
I thought about investing in a boat like that but then wondered how soon it would be before a gator attacked it.
