holy crap! - one of our crews in West Texas left yesterday afternoon to get to another project in East Texas -
400+/- miles. when I was younger, probably would have enjoyed that...
That is common around here (about once a month, but more after hurricanes) along the La coast. We constantly have jobs that require 10+ of windshield time (there and back), followed by 3+ hours of boat time to do 1 hours worth of work. So that is 14+ hours of billable time to do 1 hours worth of work. Sometimes this will led the client to do better planning on the projects.
Oh come on 🙂 I just sent a crew from Carrizo Springs, TX to Crosby, North Dakota yesterday for a 3 month project. 1,746 miles - client pays for it, but I wouldnt want to be the ones driving that.
I dunno...
Back in my "youth," 2400 Miles a month was about the norm. Some times LOTS more!
Loyal
you got me there Matthew:-) a little 2 1/2 hour trip to coast is about all I can handle these days...
About 4 years ago I went up to South Dakota Via Kansas City(Safety training there).
Total of about 1100 miles. Not as bad as from Connecticut to California back in 88.B-)
Did they stop for the night while they were still in Texas?
It's well over 500 miles from my house to my father-in-law's house. We normally start one day and get there the next.
I'm currently working on a project that I'm logging 1,000+ miles a week...
I did 408 on Sunday. I stay in Victoria, TX and drove out to Cotulla, TX to work for the day. I average around 160 per day working around Cuero and Yorktown.
