Hi all,
Greetings, I've been reading and enjoying the board for a while. Thanks! I'm a licensed NYS surveyor and have enjoyed the wide variety of topics posted here.
Anyhow...
I've recently picked up a nearly mint Wild T1A with a Bug 500. I do not plan on ever using the Bug. The scope has a mount for it on it, but, I'd like to take it off if possible. The Bug is nearly as large and heavy as the theodolite anyhow.
If I take the mount off, what will I find under it?
Good to be here!
Thanks,
Kevin
P.S. Anyone want the bug? Yours for shipping.

I would expect to find a T1A. 🙂 I just removed the mount from a T2, but it was a standards mount, and all I had to do was cut down the machine screws and reinstall them. You might be able to get away with something similar.

It's was great EDM, as long as you didn't mind randomly busting 10 meters now and again. (Clickety clickety clack; clickety clickety clack; click clack click.)
You were right, I found a T1A 🙂
Mount is off. All in all, a pretty uneventful first thread I guess.
Thanks!
