I have an Trimble S7 and TSC3. I'm considering getting after care cover. You get send a replacement unit if yours goes fault whilst they fix it. Also you get send a replacement unit while yours has its annual calibration and service.
?ÿThe after care package for the Total station is about 4.5% of the cost of the unit. Pretty reasonable I think.
But the after care package for the TSC3 is 10% of the new cost! I can't get my head round it - there's no moving parts.
Anyway who has an after care package for their TSC3? Is it worth it or just a big con?

For what it's worth, the cost is a deductible expense I believe, and the replacements parts are unavailable to you at any cost via the Trimble ?ÿ contracts with the repair service providers. We have 3 Geo7x devices, and pay about 300/year to cover the cost of "warranty".?ÿ A screen replacement runs about 1300, so it can save money when effectively utilized.?ÿ
