This is silly.
I think there was a thread about pictures on iphones that contained information about editing photos used for surveying. I recall looking at one where you can add dimensions to the photo. I thought that this was accomplished by a "stroke of the finger."
I have searched photo, map, measure, distance, finger. I can't come up with it.
Thanx for your help. Getting old ain't for sissy's, although one benefit is that I can't remember how bad yesterday really was. LOL

Getting old
I was surveying in an industrial area yesterday when one of the mechanics, I'm sure just trying to be friendly, said: "How you doing old fella?" True enough, but not what I wanted to hear.

Smack him over the head with your prism pole and reply with,"Better now."
Getting old
Earlier in the week I was working in a subdivision we did back in the mid 1980's. One of the curious neighbors came over to see what we were doing. He made the comment that "Shepp did this subdivison back in the '80's" I said that's me and he said: "Good grief you should be retired by now".

Getting old
The last job I was on, all the young bucks called me "Father Time."

Earlier years
I also remember 49 years ago, when I was running four crews on I-95 in Florida, and a man asked one of the crew members about a job. They pointed to me and I heard the man say, "You mean that kid is the boss?" Ah, how time flys.

Not quite as many years ago, 38 in fact, I had some similar remarks made about me when I made party chief while working for Brown & Root on a large refinery project for Exxon. I was the ripe old age of 21 and the youngest person on my field party.
