What is the baud rate and parity settings for the TDS data collector when using a Geodimeter 600 series total station

The baud rate and parity could be anything, but they must match each other.

Typically the limiting factor in baud rate is usually at the total station, so fire up the total station and find the communications settings.?ÿ

Match those settings on the data collector.

If there is a communication problem, drop both TS and DC to a baud rate of 9600. If that works keep increasing the baud rate until there is a problem, and back up to the fastest baud rate that works.

If all the settings are correct, and communication is still not happening, it is probably a cable problem.

And of course with any new equipment, the next step is run it through a full columnation check and verify distances being measured are correct.
