I've found many uses.
Cover a steering wheel.
Tie back a branch in the way.
Trav point
Mark a corner.
Bandaged.
Newest find. Hold on a plumb bob top.
Works just like PVC Plumbing tape. Fits tight without use of pilers.

That's my favorite way to tighten up prism pole tips too. Works great.
When tied to a hearse, it makes an old surveyor's funeral a lot more festive.
Or so I've heard.
I lost an expensive pair of glasses while working in brush when a branch caught them and flipped them off my face so I nearly always tie a wad to my glasses when going into brush. At least I have a shot at finding them again the next time. Went back the next day to look for them, but the hydroaxe beat me to it.
Good to see a plumb bob still in use.

The best way is to tie it to the frame and set the roll on the frame so that when the vehicle starts down the road, the roll falls out and unspools into one long streamer.

So long as the family is on board, I highly recommend doing exactly what you explain.
I use pink, green, orange, hell whatever, when SWMBO runs out of Christmas ribbon (Always happens at 11:00 pm Christmas eve) Works good too!
But wait!!!!!!: As an added feature if you present the gift wrapped in ÛÏflaggingÛ to a bovine species, he/she/ it will not only eat the flagging and the wrapping, but also the container the gift arrived in. No clean up! 😎

You got off to a late start, first knot I learned to tie was pink flagging on a barb wire fence. Flagging works for everything need something to keep the extension cord all neat and pretty use flagging, dont have balloons to mark the mailbox for a party, use pink flagging. need to mark a corner so a client can find it and you do want to drive back to the job site to show them, use pink flagging with a lathe, then wait for a phone call saying they can't find it, then drive out and show it to them.
I had a corner in pavement that was reported to be a large PK. It was gone, but closer inspection revealed a hole in the asphalt with a small stone wrapped up in flagging shoved into the hole. The hole fit the recorded distances. We all laughed about finding an "original stone".
The long boards sticking out the truck bed at lumber yards always get some pink.
Hammers, machetes whatever else i can find in the other crews truck.
it works well as teflon tape for a water hose
