I've bought a number of cables from Western States Cabling - mostly high-quality replacements for Trimble GPS cables - and have consistently been impressed by the cables they've sold me. When I needed to connect the new Sokkia/Topcon CX to my old workhorse data collector that also drives the Zeiss Elta50, I asked Brett Dawson at Western States if he could do it. The answer was that he was willing to try.

It was a matter of finding the right schematic to get the pin mapping correct, but they were able to use the schematics of two different cables, one to a CX-series instrument and one to an older generation Sokkia Set that the SDR cable was made for, and both going into a DB-9 connector, to get the custom cable wired correctly. Plugged it to both ancient SDR-33 and brand new CX and things worked great.

Quality stuff at very reasonable prices. Would recommend.

Their cables are 3 times better and also less expensive than the ones I've been getting anywhere else. Very frustrating when you pay $116 for a TS cable and it last about a year. Western States Cabling will be getting all of my business from now on.
