About a year ago, I decided to start a business. I obtained the required licenses, built a website and printed some business cards. Throughout the last year, I picked up a few jobs here and there, handed out a boat-load of business cards and made some good contacts. I held off on getting insurance though because I didn't have the workload to justify it and none of my clients required it.
Lately, I have turned down a few large clients/projects because they required insurance and I still didn't want to purchase insurance and then only need it for the one job.
The last few months have brought a dramatically increased workload. Last week, I received another request from a consultant about a project that would require insurance. I decided I wasn't going to turn down any more work because I lacked insurance.
I am now insured.
I posted here a few months ago about references for insurance companies/agents and I followed up with some of the people you guys referred. Thanks for the help.
:good:
Glad to hear things are progressing for you David.
Cheers to being busy!!!
Congrats. I've been out from under my micromanaging boss for going on two years now. Best decision I've ever made. I only regret that I didn't do it sooner. I understand why more don't do it, but the freedom is refreshing. I wish you all the best.

Congrats, David.
