WCMC ... (pronounced WukMuk) Witness Corner to the Meander Corner...
We recover a lot of these and set a lot of these as well along sectional and US survey lines...
Often the safe location these are positioned at gets lost itself over time ... especially these days
here's a couple from yesterday ...
This guy marking the boundary between two US surveys ....
went out to survey this historical site to find the land is now the sea
Here's another one marking a section line we got to in the nick of time before it succumbs to the Arctic upheavel

The boundary pin I was trying to tie in is located down there in the water. Beavers flooded this entire area, there were no lake here before.
Tieing it in was real fun, first you puts hand into water above elbow, trying find the pin by touch and then put bottom of pogo on it ... but it slides off all the time 🙂 . (this was in 2005)
Like the wolf pic bet hat would keep the morons who ask you to take their picture away 😀
