Very, very good point! Forensic reconstruction and retracement of older plats is truly an art.

Required for your 'pallet':

1. All the original corners that can be scrounged.

2. A knowledge of the lay of the land, as it was when platted.

3. The ability to overlook the sometimes meaningless bearings and distances represented on the plat.

The results should give you a clear picture of how the plat was laid out.
