I bought a used et-2 Topcon total station and FC-1 Data Collector I do not Know anything about these items I would like to use them to lay out building pads. Does anyone know how I can find a manual for the data collector and learn how to input coordinates. I know the basic about using a transit. These items are so old Topcon Web Site Has not been any help.

Load your coordinates into the data collector and use it instead of on-board coordinates. Way way Way easier.
Manuals for this older equipment weren't necessarily ever scanned or put online, but it might still be possible to buy hard copies. I remember buying a manual for a GTS-2 some years ago by calling Topcon. I think it cost $15. Looks like the current number is 925-245-8300.
