Hey, for an undergraduate project I have to investigate a suitable methodology for setting out the surveying/dimensional control of a building that is several 100 meters high. However I am finding it hard to find information on the internet. What are the main steps in establishing control when constructing a multi-story building?

That's a fairly specialized skill set. Search board user Scott Zelenak and contact him. Just dropping his name ought to get you an "A".
Also, you might look up Tim Verney, of Verney Land Surveying in Oregon. He does that sort of work. He used to post here but I haven't heard from him lately.
