Patiently waiting for "Uncle Paden's Bedtime Stories' to come out.?ÿ
Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.
I humbly appreciate the limelight and everybody's comments.?ÿ It's always a joy for me to know that others enjoy reading my blather.?ÿ It's also fun to find my own misspelled words and grammatical uh-ohs.?ÿ As you all know, the best way to find a necessary correction of a final plat mylar is to hit "print"...
A big bunch of attaboys are hereby duly awarded to Mr. Cash for telling the truth.
You "Done Good".?ÿ Keep it up.

I'm hoping those who have collected all of Uncle Paden's stories over the years will publish them.
There has never been a better story told than the date with the cheerleader.?ÿ I laugh just thinking about it.
I'm a bit partial to the hornets at Easter sunrise services.
I myself wish I had a comprehensive collection. I only started saving them around 2013 or so. Even then I believe I missed a few. And I've been through at least three hard drives in all those years. Every time I think I've rounded them all up, I remember a certain 'episode' and lo-and-behold I can't find a copy of it.
I'm still waiting for your story of an aging baby-boomer, a mining claim and a long lost daughter.
It's still in the oven. Like fine wine, somethings take time. I've altered the facts a bit, but it's basically the same story as we spoke about.
I've also put a lot of time in on a story about a Minnesota son of Swedish immigrants (c. 1870) that travels west to the Indian Territory to work as a surveyor. He finds the RR Co. is copying the raw survey notes to find where the available springs are located. Something, of course, that would give steam powered locomotives and their owner-barons a keen edge on the competition.
That sounds like the sequel to "Giants of the Earth" by Ole Edvart Rølvaag, only swapping out the Norwegian immigrants with Swedish immigrants.
I've never read Giants of the Prairie. I'll have to read that as it sounds really interesting.
ummmm, "Giants of the Prairies" is a song by the Canadian polka band the Kubasonics.
You would like "Giants of the Earth" paden. It even has a surveying theme in it. Basically, it is a saga of Norwegian immigrants settling and "taming" the virgin prairie of South Dakota. Shortly after settling his family on land he believes is his, the father finds GLO corners that show he was in the wrong spot. Since he and his family had built their soddie and settled in, he decided to destroy the GLO corners and lie to the man whose land it really was.
From Wikipedia:
The novel depicts snow storms, locusts, poverty, hunger, loneliness, homesickness, the difficulty of fitting into a new culture, and the estrangement of immigrant children who grow up in a new land.
oops, my bad. Giants of the Earth does sound like good reading. A Canadian polka band sounds pretty interesting to me also..
congrats on the publish and the great article.
