While staking points conventionally, the TSC3 does not let you review and/or change the description of the shot prior to storage. I've seen the setting that lets you check "view before storage", however this doesn't work. No problems with this while running the GPS, however. Any ideas??!!
Make sure that box is checked in the survey style for conventional. It should work.
I think there may be a setting in the survey style-stakeout settings that lets you decide what the code will be when the shot gets stored. Either it will enter the design point name into the code field or some other choice. Maybe there is a setting that keeps it from being editable. Can't remember off hand, don't have the controller handy.
I'm having the same issue recently. I have to restake or do an inverse afterward to get the cut or fill information. Someone in the software department needs to see this. #trimble
I did notice that if you hit accept on the touch screen it will bring the information that you are looking for, but I try to not to touch that screen as much as possible.
And yes review before storage is checked

The TSC3 can be used to run SP Survey Pro or Trimble Access. And others, I think. Which are you using?

I know this is an old post. I'm having the same problem with Trimble Access and a TSC2 during stakeout. Sometimes it will view before storage, giving me a chance to see the design elevation, cut/fills, etc. Sometimes it will not. I've tried toggling the option back and forth. And it will randomly do this point to point without me changing any options.
