Does the TSC2 have an internal battery? Use one to run an old R8 and it's acting up lately.
The battery screws onto the back. They last a few years and need replaced.
I mean an internal backup, like a button cell or whatever.
They must have some type of battery backup somewhere, because when you swap out the main battery, you don't lose any data.
I would image there's a very small battery in the circuit board that you need the schematic to find and it's probably really hard to replace. You probably would have to replace the entire board.n
I would suspect (hope) that these days the internal battery is just for "saving" things like time and date, and not data or the DC software itself. On that note, I'm not sure if it is still the case but as recent as a couple of years ago I've replaced button batteries in Dell desktop PC's that suddenly failed to boot.
