Hello, long-time lurker but only recently decided to buy a Trimble GPS to start a side gig as a freelance surveyor.

I got my equipment through a job auction (with proof of purchase, etc.)?ÿ (R6 + TSC3) the TSC3 is locked but I don't really want to reset it because I will lose the Access software that is installed.?ÿ

Is there a way to retain the software licenses and reset the password??ÿ

Could I contact Trimble with proof of purchase and my TSC3 serial number to get my software back later on?

Any help would be much appreciated.

Resetting the TSC won't erase your software. Reinstalling the operating system will. Remove the batteries and wait about 2-3 minutes. Replace the batteries and it should power up as normal.?ÿ

If you do lose Access in the process, you can hook your TSC3 up to your PC and run Trimble Installation Manager. This will reinstall Access. You should do this even if you do not lose Access, it will update Access to the latest version available when the software warranty expired.
