I just completed a bathymetric survey using a Trimble R8 GNSS receiver, a TSC2 Data Collector (build 12.46) and the Seafloor Systems Hydolite echo sounder. The issue is exporting the data. I have try using the Trimble Style Sheets comma delimited with depth applied and comma delimited with elevation and depth. The first day of bathymetric data exports fine, the second day of data crashes both Trimble Business Center 2.50 and the TSC2 data collector.
Has anyone had this issue? Is the problem the size of the .JOB file? Any advice would be great.
Haven't seen that problem...yet...
Try exporting the TCS2 data to a JXL file and import that into TBC.
I had the same system setup and I had to export the data into csv file on the data collector and pull the data off of the collector. Size could be an issues. How fast were you collecting data and how long?
What do you mean crashes the software?
You have to use the custom style sheets that apply the depths if you want to have depths...
If the file is too large, you may have to use the ASCII File Generator program on your computer instead of the one on the data collector.
In that case you download the .job file, start ascii file generator and point it at the .job file.
We see the job size problem when trying to convert to an FBK file.
Here is an update of how I fixed the problem.
Output from a normal .csv file PNEZD
10522 2074300.12 6584042.23 297.993 H2
Output from Comma delimited with depth applied.xsl
Pt name North East Depth applied elevation Code
10522 H2
Output from Comma delimited with elevation and depths.xsl
Pt name North East Elevation Depth Code
10522 22.474 H2
I was only able to get this output when I turn off the geoid in the data collector and imported into (TBC) Trimble Business Center 2.5 on a window 7 computer.
I merged the PNEZD file and the Output from Comma delimited with elevation and depths.xsl into excel and minus the depth from the z value
10522 2074300 6584042 297.993 H2 10522 22.474 H2
The final output before input to autocad
10522 2074300.12 6584042.23 275.5
Day one 1308 measurements , Day two 21,461 Measurements. Next time create a new job after 4 hours of field time.
Below are errors I got from TBC and the TSC2
