Trying to connect a Trimble TSC2 data collector with Survey Pro software to a Sokkia SXR3 robotic total station. What are the settings to set the Sokkia to as well as the DC. Also the Survey Pro software ask for a "Read Circle" and "Send Circle" in the Station setup screen. What is this? Can you turn it off?
Thanks for any help in this matter.

the settings should be

name: xxxxx
brand: sokkia robotic
model: SRX
serial port: bluetooth
you have to pair the rc-pr unit to the dc by hitting the bluetooth button under the the dropdown box below the serial port box RC-PR must be on then start scan should find a unit with a designation like RC-PR# ###### (####A##AA##):1. Send circle is set backsight (This has been changes in the current version of survey pro 5.4.2 to say set backsight) I never really use read circle but i think if you wanted to sight an azimuth then use that it would take the angle from the total station. What i have found is every time you change setups turn survey pro to manual mode in the instrument box on the bottom of the screen turn the rover unit off then when you start your new setup turn the rover on first then let the gun to rover light go solid then use the instrument box on the bottom of the screen and turn it to robotic don't press anything after that till survey pro dings sometimes you can get away with it but sometimes it will not initialize the connection correctly if you don't go in that order if it doesn't ding (very rare) turn back to manual and then back to robotic.
