I'm looking for some assistance from the Trimble GPS guys using 900Mhz Trimble radios.

I want to configure a radio setup at the dozer running Topcon, to be able to receive RTK corrects from a Trimble 900mhz. I already know Topcon UHF can communicate with Trimble UHF in PDL or TRIMTALK, but I'm pretty sure the 900mhz protocols are proprietary to both vendors. So I'm thinking we need to place an external Trimble SNB900 radio on the dozer.

Anyone with experience with the SNB900 external radio please contact me at lee@leegreen.com , I'd like to talk with you.

Thank you.

You may be better off with an RE-S1 topcon radio box on your base. You can pick one up on ebay for like $1200 right now. It can be configured as a base, rover, or repeater radio.

PIN,

I know setting a Topcon UHF radio at the Trimble base would be more economical to talk to a Topcon UHF dozer, but we can NOT do that in this situation for other reasons.

As far I know Trimble 900 can not talk to Topcon 900 Spread Spectrum. So that will not work either.
