Hey guys and girls, Im new to the community and i have to write a report for my studies on the three instruments above. I use the S8 at work but never get to use the other two has anyone else had a chance to use these machines? If so what are you're opinions of them?

I am biased to Leica. I know the system well and can provide you with documentation and conversation about the new Viva system and integration of imaging in total stations. I can provide some instrument simulators that may help you get a feel for data flow and possibilities of imaging into surveying data.

How does an instrument simulator work?
The instrument simulators were developed for a PC so that Surveyors could move through the Viva software for demo purposes. Unlike most other softwares, the simulators can simulate real jobs running both GPS and Robotic with incoming data, instrument settings, etc. It is a great troubleshooting tool for support in the field.
