Is there a method to specify a range of points (1-20 for example) or specify a point list for use in the transformations routine? I can handle the quirkiness of the translate, rotate, scale functions, but having to individually place a check mark beside each point that I want to include is making me crazy. I've looked at the filters (accessed from the "filter" button on the select points screen) and range or point list aren't included and I don't see an option to define new filters. Anyone have a solution?

In survey controller you can hold down the space bar (bottom right) and it will go down the list checking points in rapid succession. Get your highlight on the first one and hold down the space bar until you get to the last point. If you check your first one, it will uncheck it and check the rest so I recommend looking at the first one again after selection just to make sure it was included until you are comfortable with the procedure.

Not ideal but it works. Don't know if it still works in access.

James

If they are already checked, it will uncheck them. In some instances it may be easier to check all and then uncheck a select few.

I just checked, that does still work in Access. I'm using the Yuma2 tablet with the virtual keyboard so it isn't as easy to use the shift key method as it would be with a physical keyboard. Still hoping there's a point range or point list method. It's comforting to see a list of exactly which points are going to be translated/rotated as opposed to scrolling back and forth on the screen trying to ensure that you've checked/unchecked all the right points.

This has driven me nuts with Access. The prospect of leaving a point or more out of a translation/rotation gives me the heebie-jeebies. You can select by 'points by name range' by which you give it the starting and ending pointing number of the point range, but, here's the kicker, you cannot select any points outside that range, without individually checking any and all. In Survey Pro I can select by way of point range and add a comma to delineate a second range of points, ie, "1-10,25-50,100-200". Access only gives you the option of "#-#', and that's it.

Just because I'm paranoid, doesn't mean they aren't out to get me.

After "two point translation" I believe it will give you a long list of options, look for "range by name". Don't have DC in front of me but I believe trimble calls it "by name" as point number.

I'm running version 2015.10 and I don't even get the option to key in a point or name range. When I go into COGO, Transformations, Translate, select "two points" as method, all I get on the select points screen is a list of all points in the job. I have three buttons at the bottom of the screen, All, None, and Filter. I've looked through the filter options and they're just ways to reduce the points shown in the list but no options to enter a range.
