Does anyone of you use Trimble access with Leica ts15?

I have a colleague that wants a robotic TS15 to be paired and work with Trimble TSC5 and access 2021??ÿ

I think the latest Leica it lists is the 1100+1200 series. I tried it with my 1203+ and it works but search and joystick do not, so basically no robotic. Another crew uses it with their 803

@johnymal?ÿ

I did ask about this here before and the consensus seemed to be that nobody was even aware that it was possible to use any Leica equipment with Trimble access.?ÿ

Maybe try asking on the surveying reddit? Higher number of people there, so maybe someone has some experience. My thoughts are that it's unlikely to be successful. At least not without some major bugs. I only attempted because the software I use with the Leica (Microsurvey Fieldgenius) is riddled with glitches anyway, so it was worth a shot.?ÿ

I would guess the TS15 will have to have a license for Geocom to even try.

That's the way it worked with the older versions of Access - cable connection and GeoCom Online mode.

I used the non-robotic 1100 series with a TSC3 off and on for quite a while. It's definitely possible, but I think the reduced functionality (might not even be able to use robotically) might make it a wash in the end.

Here's a screenshot of the latest version of Access (2021.20) with all the Leica instruments that appear when selecting a total station in the survey style:

@rover83?ÿ

When I was looking up the Trimble documentation on how to setup...the 1200 is mentioned and says to use the 1100 profile. I'm not sure what the 1600 or 2000 models are... what would a ts15 or TS16 be listed as?

I agree that most setups are unlikely to work robotically but there is no way to know without experimenting with different total stations and versions of access. The search failure could be a problem on all of them despite Trimble access listing "power search".?ÿ
