I've been using a Trimble 5600 with robotics. My radio (the radio used on the rod) went down. I was told by the repair guy that these radios aren't being produced any longer and Trimble hasn't been producing new parts. What do you guys do to repair these radios or is there an alternative?

We have had radios repaired by Duncan Parnell (in Atlanta area) but they no longer support that product and suggested ebay search for replacement.

Recently, we ran into a similar problem when our internal radio bit the dust. Our solution was to go with Troy Deaton at Geo-Tronics. He provided a Sena/Parani longrange bluetooth adapter setup. Works pretty well if your data collector can run it.

I believe Jim Frame has been running something like this for several years.
