We generally don't work school assignments here. If you make a good effort and are stuck on some aspect we can offer some help over the hurdle.

Can you draw the sketch and label the known information?

After that, it should only require solving two right triangles and some arithmetic.

I am guessing that you are not expected to consider refraction and curvature corrections on this problem. If so, it does get a little more complicated.

If you don't understand it, and we get you through it, then when it's critical, in?ÿ real life, we would have helped to manufacture a handicapped comrade. This could cost you alot of money someday. It's called shortsightedness. We don't want short sightedness. In either of us.

I think that you guys are being a bit severe. Sure, it's routine for us old dogs. But there was a OUAT when it was a mystery. Lighten up.?ÿ?ÿ

Here is the first question, with horizontal distance and vertical angles the given.?ÿ With this as a model I think that the OP can solve the second (slope distance given).

Had a professor who loved to refer to such drawings as Chinese pictograms.?ÿ Don't know why.?ÿ But, we heard that term a thousand times that semester.
