Probably a fruitless question, but can you get parts for tribrachs at this point?
I have a basically new Geodesy tribrach, and somehow a crew member walked up twisted the knob back and forth and broke the part that cams the locking plate back and forth (not the handle, the connector).
Are tribrachs just disposable at this point? It is sans optical plummet, so it isn't worth paying someone to fix it, but I could do it...
I've inherited a Leica gdf121 (old gdf321; no plummet) which is missing the locking mechanism but otherwise good. Local dealer said parts not available. Next step email is to email some more distant dealers and see if they have some spares.
Right to repair doesn't seem to have reached the geospatial world yet.
I know that parts can be had for the professional grade Leicas - most commonly via Leica repair shop technicians. Not sure that it would be worth the trouble for lesser makes and models.
