So I get this auto-email from the operator of CORS. It says:
We are seriously considering discontinuing the RTCM 2.3 RTK data stream. A review of our usage logs indicates this stream is not being used.
This will NOT affect most RTK users as they are using the RTCM 3.1 data stream via NTRIP.
If you are using the 2.3 data stream, please notify us by COB Friday the 20th by using the contact link on www.azhmp.org. The link has a small envelope icon just below the red stripe on the far right of the page.
Even we have no responses we will terminate the data stream the following week.
Should I be concerned? I would assume not if they say no one's using it, but I don't know for sure. . .
Well, are you one of the few using it?
Some, maybe much of the older gear CAN'T use RTCM3.x so that is what is of concren, obviously that is tracked by the CORS operator, so they know who is using it. If they say no one is using RTCM2.x, then I would assume it shouldn't be a big deal if they turn it off....

The Hipers we had at my old job were not compatible with 3.X., and they were not that old. I'm guessing they'd be about 7 years old, now.
