Has anyone else had issues with the total station freezing up in use with data collector?

It only happens in stake mode it stops reading the shots. We have to remove the battery from the total station to reset everything because the buttons stop working and the screen stays frozen.

Were using

allegro cx data collector with carlson,

Total station leica ts06??ÿ

Let me rephrase, the buttons on the total station arent responding and the screen is stuck. This only seems to happen in stake mode. It says reading shot one of one then gives an error msg. We are connected with bluetooth using allegro mx and leica ts06

I would wager on a communication issue with the BT, have you tried connecting via cable? A SurvCE upgrade may also be needed for "bug fixes"

We've tried connecting via cable now, but we haven't figured out the right combination of settings, so we keep getting an Edm reading error, so I've made?ÿ Separate post to see if anyone is using the same equipment via cable and will share the setup info that works for them ..?ÿ

Memory banks full and data flow packing can cause lag and program to freeze and buttons to not initiate commands.

Check your job files, maybe you could get by with less on your data card.

I would do a quick search to see if your latest software update supported the Flexline model. From there, it seems to me that running the older model Leica TSs with a HP48 and TDS, if I remeber correctly, used to be a seven one and even setting, but other DC and Leica combos ran on a eight one and none setting.?ÿ

Didn't catch that in time. I wasn't referring to the TS Flexline models. Meant the previous series of Leica total stations .. TCR(?) models(?)
