I've got a c.2014 Tesla whose batteries are nearing end of life. New batteries from Topcon are $188 a pop, and it takes two.?ÿ Several off-brand sources are selling them for $30-$40 bucks each. I know that these cheap ones usually don't last long enough to be a true bargain, but I'm checking to see if anyone has had a good experience with any off-brand source.?ÿ
I could have my batteries re-celled for $70 ea., but I'd (at least) need something to bridge the gap. Couldn't go without for the 2 weeks it would take.
The knock off Lecia ones we got though a local battery firm where ok but not wired up the same somehow so they registered as flat even when fully charged, life was passable but never knew when they would go flat.
We at Hayes have several in stock.?ÿ The last ones were bought through Sokkia, so are from Juniper. (I suppose...)
Since the Tesla/Mesa units are obsolete I do not think they will move very fast.?ÿ If you are interested in a price (less than list) drop me an email:?ÿ jerry at hayesinstrument dot com.
Not specific to the Tesla but I've had good luck with Cameron Sino cheapo batteries.
