Looking at picking one up...anybody have any expiriences with them?
No hands on. I researched for a late summer project between the 9000 series, and the QS. QS all the way. Supposedly big difference in tracking and lock. Search youtube for some interesting vids.
If you get one, please report back after a few weeks. I am planning on one in July or August -if I get my contract.
i have a buddy who has one and he says it rocks. says it tracks across a busy 4 lane hwy without loosing lock. he is running it with a carlson controller too. price tag around $22k.
Joe, as an Ex-LGS regional support guy, Do your self a favor and have a look-see at the LGS Viva Robotic TS. I've seen the Topcon video, do'nt believe all you watch in their marketing video, (Good Cop/Bad Cop). IMHO, LGS makes the best TS and Robotic TS in the world, the Viva Robotic TS is resonably priced, the optics blow away all the competitors, LGS finally got the Viva S/w dialed in. I know your a Topcon shop, try it, you'll like it. Get a demo, then buy what you like.
