Hi,

I'm new with Topcon Pocket 3D.?ÿ Running version 12.2.1575 on FC-500.?ÿ I like the idea of zoom to window function, but it rarely works; the selection window just freezes.?ÿ Is this a common issue??ÿ Is there a solution for this??ÿ

I'm not familiar with the "zoom to" command you speak. Also, I have not seen any screen lock-ups with Pocket3d. Can you describe how you use this command? Are you referring to the "Zoom By Window" or "Go To Points"? With the "Zoom By Window" you need to hold the stylus down to draw the entire window from corner to opposite corner.

?ÿ

Hi,

Yes I'm referring to zoom by window as the red arrow shows in your screenshot.?ÿ I know how to use the function since it works sometimes.?ÿ However sometimes, the window that I draw freezes and no zoom takes place.?ÿ I think it's due to the fact that there is lots of data loaded in the project and the old FC-500 doesn't have a lot of memory or processing power.?ÿ Thanks for the reply though.

@cpo?ÿ

You are correct. Suggest upgrade to a Windows PC tablet for large projects. That 500 use a very old version of Windows Mobile. You are using 20 year old cell phone OS.

yes I would recommend the newer FC-5000 or the FC-6000 tablets maybe. I have plenty of time with Pocket 3D on the FC-5000 tablets and it works well with it versus the older FC-500 that we had been running. like Lee said it is running old technology and can't process as much data for larger files
