Hello,

Quick question for the users:

A Topcon Hyper GA base station is running at mine site, information about the set-up is not available at current time. Surveyor is using a Trimble GNSS system, trying to connect.

What would be the most likely default RTK message format (RTCM, CMR, etc.) on this receiver/brand when used with a 35 watt radio base radio?

Just a "long shot" that I can relay to him to help him out.

Thanks,

Georges

The common packet data to communicate between Topcon and Trimble would be CMR+. But they may be using CMRx, which Topcon cannot read. Most construction sites using Trimble are on 900mhz frequency, which uses channel hopping. Topcon and Trimble 900mhz can not communicate with each other.

Also you will need match radio frequency, baud, and FCC settings to make it work. It is a shot in the dark to try communication without knowing all the information.
