This forum posted simple instructions on how to replace Hiper batteries (May, 2012)
I want to warn anyone who wnats to do it themselves that you really MUST NOT pull the main body of the unit out from its position AT ALL----
I made the mistake of of doing that and dislodged / broke the antenia lead so after I got it back togather, it would not track satilites. I still think I could have got the batteries replaced fine if I had not pulled the main body of the unit out the way I did. After a $2,000 repair bill, I learned my lession well.
PS-I did find a web site that sold the batteries for about $30 each (you need 4)
