You could try Sealand Survey in the UK. Or you could try and open it up yourself and see is the internal battery easily accessible. A few other things to try - clean battery contacts, recell batteries ( you can get the replacement inserts on ebay)

Topcon Ireland made a big deal a few years ago about supplying me a cable for one of these so it's no surprise they are unwilling to help you out, even though they probably easily could.

I’ll be slow to open it myself.  Info on the web is poor.  Batteries are recelled

I bought a data collector from them with no issues. Spoke on the phone and they were helpful.

Its a pity parts for machines over 10 years are not being made any more
