Just a couple pictures from today's project out in the NE corner of the state. I spent the better part of the morning going over the site with the client and the property owner. The wind was blowing all day but made for beautiful surroundings.
I found my way around to the NE section corner late in afternoon. The corner record said they found a 5/8" bar and 1 1/2" aluminum cap (set by a surveyor who I have retraced over the years and respect). The existing monument was replaced by a 3/4" bar with 3 1/4" aluminum cap circa 2003. There was no mention of the marked stone in the foreground in the record, although this is somewhat typical for the area.
I finally got a break from topo work and enjoyed every minute.
Gorgeous Big Sky Country ... Montana doesn't have the monopoly.
Here's one of my day!
Nice!
I don’t understand or appreciate the toe-dancin’ ballet that big-city theater goers attend, but the ballet of a crop duster working fields is something I’ll watch, stupefied and gape mouthed, for hours.
Leave the machetes in the truck!
Those guys are just plain NUTS! Kind of like helicopter pilots from the 70's.
