Delayed from yesterday, 3 GLONASS M satellites will launch in about 1/2 hour. Later this month a single GLONASS K will be launched.

These will more than fill up the GLONASS constellation.

Does anyone know if it is possible to have more than 24 turned on at the same time?

GPS can only have 32 max on, but with certain receivers having problems, they have been sticking to 31. When the GPS III are launched the capability will allow up to PRN 64, but some lower numbers are reserved to SBAS satellites. It will be interesting if older receivers will be able to see them.
