I have my eye on a used topcon GTS-603 AF. Any of you guys familiar with this instrument?
I used this model gun while helping a fellow surveyor a few years ago and it wouldn't focus in at close distances. Maybe 10'-15'. Don't remember exactly but at the time I knew I wouldn't want this model.

The poster is considering upgrading to a gun that sells for under $3000. I would suspect that your S3 is out of his price range, unless you are giving it away.
Yep Norm. Wasn't paying attention.
There are very few guys that still repair, or have parts to repair this particular model. I believe most of the repairs we did were for boards. I would keep looking.
