The paper calls it a "boundary dispute," but says the two land surveyors basically agree:

Wow, that's pretty impressive. I would have expected that a site plan and survey would have been required prior to the construction of that garage.

@stlsurveyor from what I've read about it the garage was built by the previous adjoinging owner and the relationship was friendly so they agreed to allow the garage to stand as is. When adjoining land owner passes and the property was sold relationships turned sour leading to this.
