Does anyone know if the board could prevent you from sitting for the exam if you have a DWI conviction? I'm planning on taking the SIT exam soon, and unfortunately need to know if this could have an impact on eventually gaining my license. It is a class A misdeaneanor, and is all that I would have on my criminal record.

I'm pretty sure a drinking problem is a prerequisite to becoming a surveyor.

They draw the line at a felony charge.

Read the Professional Land Surveying Act and General Rules Of Procedures and Practices. At some point in time you will practically need to quote them in your sleep.

50/50 'round here. Think the old pc called it functional alcoholism. Still an alcoholic but still able to function.
