Greetings to all.
I have been trying to receive confirmation of my Tennessee License renewal but the new Department of Commerce and Insurance website is very confusing. They seemed to have no trouble taking my $280 on November 13, 2015, but when the New Year began I checked to find my status as "Expired - grace".
I promptly tried the email route and the reply was "Land Surveyors Renewals are currently being processed and due to high volume there is a slight delay". Understandable, but the status is the same today 1/19/2016.
This worries me as I have a pending project in Tennessee coming up and do not want any issues.
Has anyone else experienced this renewal delay?

They've made significant changes to their computer system over the past year and are experiencing some growing pains. I suggest a call to them (615-741-3611) to confirm that you are safe and that it is simply a snafu on their end.
Did you send in your CEU form? By email or hard copy. It may be they just haven't processed it yet. I just checked mine and it is active but checked a coworkers and his says the same thing as yours and I know he renewed a couple weeks before I did.
I am still waiting on my license after passing the exam in October. This is "Life without Ms. Moulder".

You shouldn't complain. It took nearly this long to find out I'd passed when Ms. Moulder was still working.

I renewed mine on 12/30. It took a couple of weeks for them to change my license to "active" on the website. I don't think you have a problem.

The Board meets this week. You will probably hear something pretty soon. I took the exam in the Fall of 2000, and wasn't issued my license until late January/early February 2001. Unfortunately that is just the way it is. The Board only meets 4 times a year.

I think you may have found part of the problem. I was under the impression that the new digital submission of documentation was enough for renewal. I just found the link for the CEU reporting form and filled it. The staff has never responded when I ask if there is anything they need. Maybe this will help.
Found out that the board mtg scheduled for today has been delayed until Feb. 4th.
Sounds like you guys may need to start doing your yearly renewal a year in advance. 🙁
