I just sent older model Ranger (200C) to Hayes Instrument in Tennessee for repair (keyboard). He said they still have parts "laying around".

So, Dave & Eddie, since you do not like

Dave,

I just read this thread and its spot on about the Survey Pro software. Your description of its behavior is exactly what I experience. Interesting, though, because I use a Sokkia instrument, and you apparently use a Leica. That leads me to believe that the delays, hiccups, bad moods, etc. that you describe are not a function of the total station you are using, but a result of the software.

It could be so much better in many respects....

Al

What if you have a natural backsight? I want the option to aim at something that is not recorded and set 0

Contact your local dealer for support. Unfortunately every manufacturer that I know of will not deal directly with the Surveyor anymore because it was becoming impractical. I know this can be frustrating but most dealers have at least one guy that know Survey Pro really well. Once you find that guy/girl you will be in business.
