Today a toggle switch on Traverse/Sideshot screen of the DC was accidentally switched and a majority of the sideshots were calcd using Azimuths instead of the normal Angle Right. I went into the raw data file and changed all the bad shots from azimuth to angle right and then went to generate new coordinates. When I attmepted that, I would get an error message like the following in a pop up window:

WARNING
Cant find backsight point 154 at line 21. Backsight azimuth of 357°09'35" used

Pt No 154 is part of the raw data file, it shows the coordinates and elevation of Pt No 154 in the file.

What's the fix for this? If I generate new coordinates ignoring the message, some come out correct, some are wrong.

Paul;

I'm not sure if this is your problem but I have found that you should not use the store point after a stakeout because it only stores the coordinates that are calculated on the fly in the data collector based on the DC coordinates, no angle and distance is stored. What I do is stake the point and then go to the traverse/sideshot screen and sideshot the point.

Before every Angle Right there should be a backsite. At least a backsite after every Occupied point.
