I have not been able to successfully download and update from TBC 2.80 to TBC 2.81.

On my desktop, it downloads OK, but the install stops with a CRC failure (i.e. one of the files appears to the unpacking program to be corrupted, the CRC value doesn't check). I have downloaded both the update and the full install, same problem. And I turned off anti-virus temporarily.

On my laptop, the update download gets to the end (774 Mb), and stops.

Anyone have any success getting this update to install? I have a good internet connection, never have had any problem with corrupted files or download failures.

We got it to load and install OK. But you have to be patient at that 774 mb point. I think our download took 10 minutes (or more - maybe it was a half hour) when it said there was 1 second to go.

Also, make sure the box in the lower left is checked to download file before install.

Good luck.

I downloaded and installed without incident. Win7 64-bit, if it matters.

I did it last night. Once the download is complete then just start the executable file. It didn't start itself for me.

I been working in TBC lately. It's a better program than TGO by far. It's just getting through the learning curve as with any new software.

It might be our internet speed here at work (dedicated T2) but it took my PC about 3 hours from download to complete install.

Yes it is slow and hangs up, but it does finally make it through.

When I did the download, the 774 meg point was reached in about 20 minutes at which point it said 1 second to go. That is when it took that very long time to go the final second. Even worse than college basketball.

I am known to have little patience, maybe that is the problem...

I will give it another try.

I have FIOS, on the speed test (www.speedtest.net) I get 40 Mbps down and 30 Mbps up, although I am subscribed to 75 down/35 up. Like I said, I don't think it has anything to do with my connection, I often download very large files with no problem.
